Founded in 2015 by James Dooley, JMD Lighting has grown to become a rental company specialising in Lighting services and rental.

Initially providing lighting technician services the company started small with only a few uplighters as a side project. Initially providing lighting rental to amateur dramatics and dance schools the company has developed to be able to cover a vast range of events and productions.

JMD Lighting has grown over the years to stock a vast quantity of high end equipment while still keeping true to its roots and stocking a range of equipment suitable for the small events the company was founded upon.

We specialise in dry hire and pride ourselves with being able to provide last minute support to other rental companies and their productions.

One of our main offerings is supporting other full production rental houses.

We offer a service designed to help you out in busy times. Short of a few fixtures multiple times but don’t have the cashflow to invest the that’s where we can help.

We are happy to provide equipment that can live in your warehouse for periods of time for you to use whenever it’s needed. We happily run this side of the business on honesty and trust you to tell us when it’s used.

We also offer full Lighting and Rigging production. And twinned with our sister company JB Audio Ltd can also offer full audio production.

We can provide for any size event. We stock a large range of lighting equipment and have a rigging partner to ensure safe rigging for all events.

From party’s, functions and weddings to theatre, concerts and festivals and of course corporate events we can cater for anything.
